Mekelle University signed MoU with Green Agro Solution.

In a groundbreaking ceremony aimed at optimizing the benefits of Farmers in Tigray, Mekelle University has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Green Agro Solution (GAS) focusing on Cooperation in areas including: Joint Research and Development, Training; Workshops and Seminars; Publications and Popularizations/Promotions; Sharing of Experience; Joint and Sponsorship Programs; and Promoting the Lersha Digital  Agriculture Platform (App). The Vice President for Research & Community Engagement, Dr. Eyasu Yazew and Managing Director of Green Agro Solution, Abrhame Endrias, have signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
 
The initiative was sparked from the deeper need to help the overwhelmed farmers of postwar Tigray by professionals in the area of Business, Agriculture and Technology professions . This MoU shall have a duration of three years from the date of signing of the MoU, subject to renewability.
 
On the occasion, Mr. Hailemichael Tesfay, Dean of Business & Economics and Dr. Mulu Aderie, Head of Research & Community Engagement of the respective college have commended that this MoU is a major step to boost the integration of Agriculture, Business and Technology (ABT) for the enhancement of the livelihood of smallholder farmers in postwar Tigray.
