Faculty of Animal Science Conducts In-House Workshop on Outcome-Based Curriculum Review
​Today, the Faculty of Animal Science at the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (CVAS), Mekelle University, held an impactful in-house workshop dedicated to reviewing its undergraduate curriculum using the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approach.
​The initiative marks a major step forward in ensuring the program aligns seamlessly with the university's mission and the standards set by the Ministry of Education.

​Highlights of the Workshop:
​Opening & Agenda: The session was led by Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Gebremedhin Beyene, who outlined the day's goals. Academic Director of Mekelle University, Gidey Gebremeskel, delivered the opening remarks, emphasizing the critical value of OBE.
​Collaborative Review: Following a detailed presentation of the revised curriculum, internal evaluators and participants engaged in a constructive discussion, offering vital feedback, questions, and structural suggestions.
​Stakeholder Commitment: The OBE curriculum review team actively engaged with the feedback, providing key clarifications and incorporating recommendations to refine the program.
 From the Dean of the College:
​“The outcome-based curriculum review... has reaffirmed our commitment to delivering quality, relevant, and competency-based education. The insights generated will strengthen the alignment of program outcomes with the needs of the livestock sector, the labor market, and national development priorities... to produce skilled, innovative, and socially responsible graduates.”
