President of MU, Dr. Fana Hagos attended International Youth Fellowship(IYF) 10th World Education Forum.
In the WEF held in South Korea from July 21st to 28th, 2024, 85 university presidents, vice presidents, and senior education representatives from 45 countries have participated.
In the occasion, the President of Mekelle University Dr.Fana Hagos exchanged commemorative gifts with the founder of IYF Dr.Ocksoo Park; and together participated in the World Youth Camp (including world cultural performance, choir concert) and world coffee disscusion.

She also discussed with representatives of world university student leaders, and listened to the impact of the New Village Movement on South Korea and the tremendous changes it has brought.
In addidion to, they discussed the jointly mind-set education training and action learning. They also talked about the current situation of changes in the educational landscape and the new problems and challenges faced in the future era of digital transformation of higher education. Everyone expressed the need to work together to cultivate the information literacy and innovation capabilities of college students; and promote the comprehensive development of university students in all fields.
More over, Dr.Fana Hagos gave a special speech at the Nurimaru APEC House on the digital transformation of higher education and the impact of mind-set education on the support of today's higher education and the possible solutions to youth problems.
Besides, Dr.Fana Hagos held interview with Korean TV media and famous magazine called "Tomorrow Magazine" and gave detailed introduction about Mekelle University.

During 10th education forum, many universities have shown strong willingness to cooperate with Mekelle University. Gimcheon University in South Korea and other 7 universities and research institutions from other countries signed MoU with Mekelle University; and had fruitful discussions.
