A comprehensive training program titled "Essentials of Humanitarian Action" is currently underway at Adihaki Campus, Mekelle University. The training is being led by Fernando Almasa, an esteemed Independent Humanitarian Consultant, who is sharing invaluable insights and expertise in the field.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Abdelkadir Kedir, Vice President for Academic Programmes, warmly welcomed the participants and expressed his gratitude for their engagement. He highlighted the center's critical role in collaborating to address humanitarian crises and acknowledged the valuable contributions of guests from Spain in supporting the center’s mission.
Dr. Abdelkadir also reaffirmed the university management's commitment to further strengthening the Center for Humanitarian Studies, emphasizing its importance in fostering effective responses to humanitarian challenges.
The training sessions will continue over the next three days — February 7, 8, and 10, 2025 — and are attended by participants from Mekelle University, local civil society organizations, partners of Manos Unidas, and the 4YBIN initiative, all eager to enhance their understanding and skills in humanitarian action.
