Induction Training for 2016 Entry Clinical Based Post-graduates of Ayder Hospital College of Health Science-Mekelle University undergoing.
Induction training is undergoing for our clinical based PG (Post Graduate) trainees starting from today, July 27, 2024. In the discussion, the institution's Chief Executive Director, Dr. Kibrom Gebreselassie Desta welcomed the trainees in an opening speech that emphasized on professionalism, the balance of individual and professional life, certain perspectives of legal medicine in brief, inter-collegial relations in the hospital environment, academic excellence, and competency were highlighted.
Dr. Abraha Gebreegziabher, Chief Clinical Director of Ayder Hospital, discussed some activities including trend of patient services over the past 14 years; after acknowledging current senior citizens who had put enough efforts to the construction and opening of Ayder Hospital, he showed the general positive outlooks foreseeable in the hospital and college. He added that the current testing time shall pass; and with input of such critical mass of professionals our healthcare will flourish, the patient outcomes will improve and the healthcare worker experience will become pleasant.
Head of school of Medicine, Dr. Kibrom Gebreselassie Gebrehiwot also shared his experiences and perspectives. Morever, he offered academic related orientation and target during their three to five years postgraduate department peculiar training period.
The training will continue for three days at the College of Health Sciences, Telemedicine. Ayder has received 104 first year postgraduate trainees in 11 clinical specialty programs.
