Mekelle University signed MoU with TAK Business Group.
Mekelle University and TAK Business Group signed Memorandum of Understanding today October 15/2024 in Senate Hall, MU. The MoU aims at strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two institutions in medical excellence and delivery a product of highest quality, research and community services in health care and sciences.
By inking this agreement, the two sister institutions have agreed to work together in improving the supply of quality medical equipment and products at competitive price; Undertaking collaborative research programmes and projects; Promotion of information, awareness creation and capacity building initiatives for the University staff and local communities; Developing and executing programmes related to topics relevant to human and industrial development in medical sciences; and Transfer and exchange of knowledge.
TAK Business Group has donated GE healthcare ultrasound machine worth of 4.8 million Birr to the Ayder Comprehensive Specialized Hospital to support the postwar rehabilitation efforts of the University in particular and Tigray in general.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Eyasu Yazew, Vice President for Research and Community Engagement of Mekelle University, and Mr. Hiruy Lilay Tedla, Deputy CEO of TAK Business Group.
