The Re-start of Ayder Enlightenment Forum
Ayder Enlightenment Forum (AEF) came back to its stage after years of pause. Today's session focused on a theme "Peace Through Wisdom; How Scholars Shape Post-war Recovery" in which insightful, thought provoking and engaging talks were made by Dr. Zenawi Zerihun from Department of Psychology at Mekelle University (MU), Dr. Muauz Gidey from Department of Political Science - MU and Tigray Institute of Policy Studies (TIPS), and Dr. Tesfay Gebregzabher from the School of Public Health - MU.
The forum, opened by Dr Kibrom Gebreselassie, the Chief Executive Director of Ayder-MU, who highlighted the roles of the educated in the contemporary context and disaster we are passing described that the initial topics of our AEF will focus on agenda towards healing, then diverse topics of high calibre will be part of the future discussions.
Coments were forwarded and questions raised by the participants that appreciated the re-start of AEF.
